Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Migration Engineer with solid experience migrating large-scale VMware workloads from on-premises data centers to Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) on AWS. The role will lead discovery, planning, migration execution, cutover, validation, and troubleshooting within a structured Migration Factory supporting hundreds to thousands of virtual machines.
Key Responsibilities
Assess VMware environments using Nutanix Collector and define target sizing using Nutanix Sizer.
Evaluate workload compatibility, dependencies, risks, remediation needs, and infrastructure readiness.
Define migration waves based on application dependencies, business criticality, maintenance windows, and recovery objectives.
Create migration runbooks, cutover plans, validation procedures, and rollback strategies.
Deploy and configure Nutanix NC2 on AWS, including networking, routing, DNS, security, IAM, connectivity, and storage.
Execute VMware-to-NC2 migrations using Nutanix Move, from pilot th .
