The Role As a Senior Digital Solutions Consultant with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc. Worley is seeking an experienced Operational Technology Networking Engineer to support the design and delivery of secure, resilient, and fit-for-purpose OT network infrastructure for mining, resources, and industrial environments. The role will develop and review OT network architectures, segmentation models, connectivity designs, and integration solutions supporting SCADA, PLC, DCS, telemetry, autonomous systems, mobile fleet communications, and production-critical digital platforms across greenfield and brownfield projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong OT networking experience, practical understanding of industrial communications and cybersecurity-by-design, and the ability to work collaboratively across engineering, cybersecurity, telecommunications, vendor, and client teams. Key Accountabilities Develop OT network architectures across industrial control, telecommunications, edge, integration, and cybersecurity domains, ensuring alignment with client requirements, operational objectives, and project delivery phases. Develop OT network standards and requirements documentation in collaboration with client OT systems stakeholders to achieve client capability objectives. Produce engineering artefacts including OT network architecture diagrams, network segmentation models, connectivity drawings, interface specifications, IP addressing strategies, firewall zoning concepts, routing concepts, wireless backhaul integration views, and implementation-ready design inputs. Design and review OT network infrastructure supporting SCADA, PLCs, DCS, telemetry, industrial applications, remote operations, mobile fleet systems, and autonomous mining systems. Provide technical input into IT/OT convergence strategies, including segmentation, secure connectivity, edge-to-cloud integration, and operational data transport across levels 1-4. Apply OT cybersecurity-by-design principles, including network segmentation, defence-in-depth, Zero Trust concepts, microsegmentation, secure remote access, and controlled integration between OT and enterprise networks. Ensure OT network designs consider relevant standards and frameworks, including IEC 62443, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SOCI Act obligations where applicable, ISA-95 concepts, secure industrial protocols, and client-specific engineering standards. Support the selection, assessment, and integration of network equipment, industrial switches, routers, wireless systems, firewalls, gateways, network management platforms, and OT monitoring tools. Review vendor, subcontractor, and system integrator designs for compliance with engineering principles, client standards, project specifications, constructability, maintainability, and cybersecurity requirements. Coordinate with cybersecurity, control systems, telecommunications, electrical, digital, and operations teams to ensure OT network designs support safety, reliability, operational continuity, maintainability, and future scalability. Additional Responsibilities Support vulnerability assessment, risk assessment, threat modelling, and network hardening activities where they relate to OT network design and integration. Provide technical input to FEED studies, concept studies, design reviews, procurement packages, RFP/RFQ responses, tender submissions, and project estimates. Support construction, commissioning, and handover teams by providing technical clarification, design intent verification, non-conformance review support, and field engineering input.
