ob Title: Senior Performance QA Engineer Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Performance QA Engineer with 8+ years of experience in performance testing, load testing, scalability validation, and performance engineering for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in identifying bottlenecks, designing performance test strategies, analyzing system behavior under load, and ensuring application stability, responsiveness, and scalability across distributed systems. This role requires close collaboration with development, QA, DevOps, infrastructure, and product teams to build reliable and high-performing applications. **Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute comprehensive performance, load, stress, spike, and endurance tests Analyze application performance, response times, throughput, and resource utilization under varying workloads Identify system bottlenecks across application, API, database, middleware, and infrastructure layers Create and maintain reusable performance test scripts and frameworks Define workload models, test scenarios, and performance benchmarks based on business requirements Conduct performance testing for web applications, APIs, microservices, and backend systems Monitor server-side metrics including CPU, memory, disk I/O, thread usage, garbage collection, and network utilization Collaborate with developers and architects to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues Perform root cause analysis and provide recommendations for tuning application and infrastructure performance Validate system scalability, reliability, and stability in pre-production and production-like environments Prepare detailed performance test reports with findings, trends, risks, and optimization recommendations Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines where applicable Support capacity planning and performance forecasting activities Ensure adherence to quality standards, SLAs, and non-functional requirements Mentor junior QA engineers and promote performance testing best practices across teams **Required Skills and Qalification 8+ years of experience in Performance Testing / Performance QA / Performance Engineering Strong hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or NeoLoad Experience in testing web applications, APIs, and distributed systems Strong understanding of load, stress, spike, soak/endurance, and scalability testing Ability to analyze performance metrics and diagnose system bottlenecks Experience with application performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Grafana, or Prometheus Good understanding of client-server architecture, microservices, and distributed systems Experience with SQL and database performance validation Familiarity with web servers, application servers, and API performance tuning concepts Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of performance tests into release cycles Strong analytical, troubleshooting and reporting skills Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Good communication and stakeholder management skills **Preferred Qualification Experience in performance engineering beyond execution-level testing Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP Experience testing applications running on Kubernetes or containerized platforms Understanding of JVM, .NET CLR, garbage collection, thread dumps, heap analysis, or similar runtime diagnostics Exposure to DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI Experience in production monitoring and performance baseline analysis Knowledge of security and resilience testing from a non-functional testing perspective Domain experience in financial services, healthcare, retail, or other high-transactio enterprise platforms Key Competencies: Performance test strategy and planning Load and stress test execution Bottleneck identification and root cause analysis Application and infrastructure performance monitoring Scalability and reliability validation Cross-functiona collaboration Reporting and optimization recommendations Sample Tech Stack: Performance Testing: JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, NeoLoad Monitoring: Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus API Testing: Postman, REST APIs Database: SQL CI/CD: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions Cloud/Infra: AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred .
