Senior Power BI Engineer

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to meet business needs.Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform data for reporting and analysis purposes.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Create and manage data models and ensure data accuracy and reliability within Power BI.Develop and maintain Power BI DAX calculations to provide advanced analytical insights.Integrate data from multiple sources to create a consolidated and streamlined reporting framework.Ensure performance optimization of dashboards and reports, enabling fast and efficient data analysis.Support troubleshooting and debugging of Power BI reports and data-related issues.Provide documentation and training for end-users to promote self-service analytics.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business users, to ensure seamless integration of data and insights.Required Skills and Qualifications6-8 years of experience in developing reports and dashboards in Power BI.Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.Hands-on experience with Power BI DAX for advanced calculations and data analysis.Strong knowledge of relational databases and data modeling principles.Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration techniques.Demonstrated ability to work on large datasets and provide actionable insights.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders and team members.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.Experience with tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or other data integration tools (preferred).Understanding of Agile methodologies and the ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments.Preferred QualificationsExperience with cloud platforms like AzureKnowledge of other BI tools like Tableau or QlikView is a plus.Certifications in Power BI, SQL, or related technologies.
