Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Power BI Developer with strong expertise in Google BigQuery to design and deliver enterprise-scale analytics solutions. This role will lead the development of semantic models, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that enable business stakeholders to make data-driven decisions through trusted and scalable analytics platforms.
As a Senior Power BI Developer, you will play a critical role in shaping our enterprise analytics ecosystem. You will partner with business stakeholders, analytics teams, and data engineering teams to develop scalable reporting solutions, optimize BigQuery-based analytical workloads, and establish best practices for data visualization and self-service analytics.
The ideal candidate combines deep Power BI expertise with strong data modelling and BigQuery knowledge and can translate complex business requirements into intuitive and impactful dashboards.
Responsibilities
Power BI Development
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Power BI semantic models.
Build high-quality reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights.
Develop advanced DAX calculations and M-Query transformations.
Create scalable data models using star and snowflake schema principles.
Analytics Architecture
Define and govern Power BI development standards and best practices.
Establish reporting design patterns and dashboard optimization strategies.
Ensure consistency across enterprise reporting solutions.
BigQuery Optimization
Design high-performance BigQuery solutions.
Optimize queries, partitioning, clustering, and storage strategies.
Monitor and improve reporting performance and cost efficiency.
Platform Administration
Administer Power BI workspaces and datasets.
Manage row-level security and data access controls.
Configure gateways and refresh strategies.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Gather requirements and convert business needs into technical specifications.
Provide technical guidance to analysts and business users.
Deliver user training and support.
Data Governance
Ensure compliance with governance policies.
Maintain data integrity, lineage, and reporting consistency.
Support enterprise security and access standards.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field.
Experience
4+ years of Business Intelligence or Analytics development experience.
Proven experience developing enterprise Power BI solutions.
Experience working with Google BigQuery environments.
