Senior QA Tester EMR/EHR Systems Experience: 712 Years Job Summary We are seeking an experienced QA Tester with deep expertise in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)/Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. The candidate will be responsible for validating clinical workflows, patient records management, interoperability, regulatory compliance, and end-to-end testing of EMR platforms. Key Responsibilities Design and execute functional, integration, regression, and UAT test scenarios for EMR/EHR applications. Validate clinical workflows including patient registration, encounters, prescriptions, medication management, lab orders, clinical documentation, and discharge processes. Verify interoperability between EMR and external systems through HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and API integrations. Perform data validation and ensure accuracy of patient records and clinical data. Collaborate with clinicians, product owners, business analysts, and development teams to understand requirements. Participate in requirements reviews and identify test scenarios early in the SDLC. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and security standards. Report defects, track resolution, and participate in root cause analysis. Support UAT, production validation, and release activities. Required Skills Strong experience testing EMR/EHR platforms. Understanding of healthcare workflows and clinical operations. Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, DICOM, ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED, LOINC standards. Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger. Knowledge of SQL and database validation. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar test management tools. Preferred Skills Exposure to Cerner, Epic, Allscripts, Meditech, Athenahealth, or equivalent EMR systems. Automation testing experience using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools. Healthcare compliance awareness (HIPAA, NABH, GDPR where applicable). Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or related field. .
