The Cisco Wireless Feature & System Engineering team builds end-to-end wireless capabilities across access points, controllers, and cloud-managed platforms. We design features that span device software, control planes, and management systems to deliver seamless, secure, and high-performance enterprise Wi-Fi.
Your Impact
As a Senior Wireless Radio Software Engineer, you will lead development of radio firmware and driver components, driving Wi-Fi feature enablement and system-level performance across platforms
Lead design and development of radio firmware and driver subsystemsDrive implementation of complex 802.11 features and optimizationsDebug and resolve challenging cross-layer issues (RF, firmware, driver, system)Work directly with chipset vendors to influence and resolve firmware behaviorOptimize performance, scalability, and reliability of wireless systemsMentor engineers and guide technical direction within your domainLeverage AI-assisted development tools to improve team efficiency and workflowsMinimum Qualifications -:
BE/BTech with 7+ Years of experience or ME/MTech with 5+ Years of experience in wireless or embedded software developmentStrong expertise in C/C++ and low-level systems programmingDeep understanding of 802.11 protocols, features, and system behaviorExperience with radio firmware, drivers, or data path developmentStrong debugging skills across firmware and system layersExperience collaborating with chipset vendorsAbility to lead subsystem design and execution
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with upstream driver developmentStrong understanding of performance optimization and RF behaviorExperience in large-scale wireless systems
