About the Role Our client, WhatJobs Direct, is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in Java and Spring Boot to join their core engineering team in **Jaipur, Rajasthan, IN**. You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and deployment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications using Java and Spring Boot. Build and expose RESTful APIs for various services. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to best practices. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, QA, and other engineers. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems. Contribute to architectural discussions and technical design decisions. Develop and implement unit and integration tests. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Stay updated with new technologies and industry trends. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of professional software development experience. Strong proficiency in Java programming language. Extensive experience with the Spring Boot framework. Experience with building and consuming RESTful web services. Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate). Familiarity with microservices architecture principles. Experience with build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle) and version control systems (e.g., Git). Knowledge of Agile development methodologies. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
