Job Description:
Key Rsponsibilities :
o Understanding the technical requirement of a project and preparing the project specification documents.
o Performing structural design and analysis calculations as per governing codes, standards & regulations, engineering formulas, best engineering practice and skill / experience.
o Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering design documents.
o Analyze and think innovatively to make the product technically advanced, compact and cost effective.
o Analysis report generation & grouping of structural members as per criticality.
o Performing and reviewing transport analysis, lifting analysis, etc.
o Performing and reviewing load & COG calculations.
o Lifting lug / pad eye sizing, Sling / Shackle calculation, Spreader bar calculation.
o Guiding Designers in Structural fabrication drawing preparation.
o Review of structural fabrication drawings.
o Attending the client meetings and responding to queries.
o Must be a self-starter, ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
o Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate well within the team as well as with other discipline personnel.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
Bachelor of Engineering in Civil or Mechanical/ M.E (Structures) from an accredited institution with good academic record and with minimum 5 years relevant experience.
SKILLS & ABILITIES o Good experience in industrial structural design areas of plant structures, skid assemblies, Topside structural design etc.
o Good exposure to international codes & standards AISC, BS EN.
o Shall have good knowledge in technical applications, manufacturing process & methods, Materials strength and its properties.
Candidate should have strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
o Should have good communication skills.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES o Strong knowledge in SACS & STAAD.Pro and Strength of Materials.
o Strong knowledge in MS excel. Knowledge in excel macros and VB programing will be an added advantage.
o Familiarity with AutoCAD .
