Design user-centered digital experiences for Optum's B2C and B2B digital properties, balancing user needs, business goals, brand standards and technical requirementsCreate wireframes, mockups, prototypes and page layouts that effectively communicate design concepts, user flows, information architecture and content strategyApply UX/UI design best practices to improve usability, engagement, accessibility, responsiveness and overall customer experience across desktop and mobile platformsEnsure websites and digital experiences meet accessibility requirements and industry standards, including WCAG guidelines, inclusive design principles and accessibility testing practicesPartner with product managers, content strategists, developers, marketers and business stakeholders to define user requirements and translate them into effective digital solutionsCreate, edit and optimize digital assets including images, graphics and visual content using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Cloud and other design applicationsDevelop and maintain design documentation, user journeys, design systems and component standards to support scalable and consistent digital experiencesPresent design concepts, recommendations, user experience findings and final solutions to clients, business partners and leadership audiences in a clear and compelling mannerConduct user experience reviews and evaluate existing digital experiences to identify opportunities for usability improvements, accessibility enhancements and design modernizationAuthor, edit and maintain website content in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and other content management platforms, ensuring accuracy, consistency and alignment with brand standardsApply web content best practices including readability, information hierarchy, metadata and search optimization to maintain effective digital experiencesManage work through Agile processes, balancing multiple projects and priorities while meeting quality standards and delivery timelinesLeverage enterprise-approved AI tools to support design ideation, content development, asset creation, research and workflow efficiencies while maintaining professional judgment and quality standardsStay current with evolving UX/UI trends, digital design technologies, accessibility standards, design tools and content management best practicesComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). 3+ years of professional experience in Web Design, UX Design, UI Design, Digital Experience Design or a related discipline3+ years of experience designing websites, landing pages and digital experiences for consumer and/or business audiences2+ years of experience working with content management systems
Experience presenting design concepts and recommendations to clients, stakeholders and cross-functional teams1+ year of experience working within Agile, Kanban or Scrum environments using Rally, Jira, Azure DevOps or similar toolsDemonstrated experience creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes and high-fidelity designs using industry-standard design toolsSolid understanding of UX principles, user-centered design methodologies, information architecture and interaction designExperience applying accessibility standards and inclusive design practices, including WCAG compliance considerationsExperience creating and editing digital graphics, images and visual assets using Adobe Photoshop or comparable design softwareWorking knowledge of responsive design, mobile-first design principles and modern web design best practicesProven solid communication, collaboration and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projectsProven solid communication, collaboration and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
