About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Technical QA Engineer to test complex integration scenarios, APIs and backend services.
You will define test approaches, create manual and automated test suites, identify technical risks, manage defects, and work closely with developers, architects, project managers, business analysts, and customers.
This role requires strong technical testing skills, independent working, and confident communication with international stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Create automation test strategies, test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria.Test REST and SOAP APIs, system integrations, backend services, and data flows.Validate authentication, authorisation, error handling, business rules, and data mappings.Create and maintain automated API, integration, regression, and end-to-end test suites.Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.Perform functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and non-functional testing.Validate data using SQL and investigate issues across different system layers.Document, prioritise, and track defects through resolution.Communicate testing progress, quality risks, and release readiness.Participate in requirements workshops, refinement sessions, and technical discussions.Support and mentor less experienced testers.Improve testing standards, automation coverage, and quality processes.Required Skills and Experience
At least 5 years of experience in software testing or quality engineering.Experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, REST Assured, Karate, Cypress, Selenium, or Pytest.Strong experience testing APIs, integrations, and backend systems.Experience with tools such as Postman, Newman, SoapUI, Bruno, or similar.Good understanding of REST, HTTP, JSON, XML, API contracts, and authentication.Experience with SQL, Git, CI/CD, and defect-management tools.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Fluent professional English.Experience working with distributed or international teams.Preferred Skills
ISTQB or comparable testing certification.Experience with cloud platforms, microservices, event-driven systems, or message queues.Experience with MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, Kafka, or similar technologies.Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C#, or a comparable language.Knowledge of performance, security, mobile, or web-application testing.Experience in IT consulting or customer-facing projects.What We Are Looking For
