01Key Responsibilities
Review and verify all loan applications and supporting documents.Analyze credit, income, and asset documentation including 1040s, K1s, bank statements, and other financial records.Identify risks and inconsistencies within mortgage loan files.Perform both AUS (DU, LP) and manual underwriting.Run and analyze fraud detection reports (Fraud Guard, Fraud Manager, DRIVE).Ensure compliance with agency guidelines (FHA, VA, FNMA, FHLMC, USDA).Apply internal credit policies, TRID, and mortgage regulatory standards.Accurately document underwriting decisions and communicate conditions or declinations.Maintain high-quality output with minimal supervision under strict timelines.Collaborate with internal teams and respond to client inquiries professionally.Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager.Required Skills and Experience:Minimum 5 yearsof recent US Residential Mortgage underwriting experience.Sound knowledge ofFHA, VA, FNMA, FHLMC, USDAguidelines and Non-QM products.Strong experience in compliance, disclosures, closing documentation, or post-close due diligence.Excellent analytical and documentation skills.Familiarity withLOS platformssuch as Encompass, BytePro, Calyx, Empower, Lending QB.Strong understanding of US mortgage regulatory changes and TRID.Ability to work in high-volume environments and meet deadlines.Exceptional communication (verbal & written) and time-management skills.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in underwritingJumbo and Bank Statement programs.Exposure to third-party fraud tools likeFraud Guard, Fraud Manager, DRIVE.Strong knowledge of US Mortgage processes and investor guidelines Show more Show less .
