Job Description Service HeadPosition: Service Head Industry: Medical Devices / Healthcare Experience: Minimum 7+ Years Location: Lucknow Position OverviewWe are looking for an experienced and technically strong Service Head to lead our medical equipment service operations. The ideal candidate should have 7+ years of relevant experience in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Devices, Medical Machines, and Healthcare Equipment, with proven expertise in service management, team leadership, troubleshooting, installation, preventive maintenance, and customer support. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, uptime, and service quality of medical equipment across customer locations. Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the complete service and technical support function for medical devices and equipment.Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of Biomedical/Service Engineers.Plan and monitor installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and breakdown services.Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to medical machines and equipment.Ensure timely closure of customer complaints and service requests within defined TAT/SLAs.Coordinate with customers, hospitals, vendors, OEMs, and internal teams for technical and service-related requirements.Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.Maintain service records, equipment history, AMC/CMC records, spare parts requirements, and service reports.Monitor service KPIs, engineer productivity, response time, first-time fix rate, and customer satisfaction.Manage spare parts, tools, consumables, and technical inventory required for service operations.Support the installation and commissioning of new medical equipment at hospitals and healthcare facilities.Provide technical guidance to service engineers for complex breakdowns and critical equipment issues.Coordinate with OEMs and technical partners for escalated technical issues and warranty support.Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, service protocols, quality procedures, and company policies.Prepare and present regular service MIS and performance reports to management.Identify recurring technical issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve equipment reliability.Required Experience & QualificationsMinimum 7+ years of relevant experience in Biomedical Engineering / Medical Equipment / Medical Devices.Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.Strong hands-on experience with medical machines, diagnostic equipment, hospital equipment, and medical devices.Proven experience in leading a technical/service team.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.Experience in hospital/healthcare equipment installation, maintenance, and servicing will be preferred.Experience with AMC/CMC, warranty management, OEM coordination, and customer service operations is an advantage.Willingness to travel to customer/hospital locations as required.Core CompetenciesBiomedical Engineering | Medical Equipment Service | Technical Troubleshooting | Preventive Maintenance | Installation & Commissioning | Team Leadership | AMC/CMC Management | Customer Support | OEM Coordination | Spare Parts Management | Service Operations | MIS Reporting Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader with strong biomedical engineering knowledge and the ability to independently manage service operations, lead field engineers, resolve critical technical issues, and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and equipment uptime. .
