Role Overview
You will be a member of the engineering team at DWS, specifically part of the front office team supporting the Passive Investments Portfolio business. Your primary responsibility as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will be to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical systems by combining strong DevOps skills with a focus on automation, monitoring, and incident response for both development and production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable infrastructure.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
- Monitor system health, performance, and security using industry-standard tools.
- Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution for production issues (L2/L3 support).
- Collaborate with development teams to improve system reliability and support application releases.
- Automate repetitive tasks and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Maintain and optimize containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Document operational processes, runbooks, and incident reports.
Qualifications Required
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, Openshift).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
