Job Summary On behalf of our India-based client in the Media & Publishing Technology sector, we are seeking an experienced Application/Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain web applications and APIs. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in .NET technologies, database management, and API integration. This is a fully remote opportunity offering flexible engagement models, including full-time, part-time, and contractual arrangements, enabling professionals to contribute based on their expertise and availability. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain web applications and Web APIsDevelop solutions using .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHPWork with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server databasesDevelop and integrate REST APIs, including SMS Gateway integrationsDebug, test, and optimize application performanceEngage with cross-functional engineering and business teams to deliver secure, scalable, and enterprise-grade software solutions that drive business value. Required Skills 6 to 9 years of experience in application/software developmentStrong knowledge of .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, and PHPExperience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL ServerHands-on experience with API development and integrationKnowledge of SMS Gateway integration is preferred AI Experience Working knowledge of AI-powered development assistants and their effective use in coding, testing, debugging, and code optimization to enhance engineering productivity is desirable.Interest in applying AI-assisted tools for code review, testing, or documentation Managerial Experience This position is focused on individual technical contribution, with an emphasis on collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to build and deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions. Operational Experience Experience debugging, testing, and optimizing application performance in production environmentsExperience managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting production web applications and APIs while ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and uptime.Familiarity with database management and query optimization across multiple database platforms Qualifications BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or equivalent, ORMCA/M.Tech in Computer Science/IT/Electronics, ORMasters degree in Computer Science, IT, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Electronics, or a related STEM discipline, with a strong analytical and technical foundation.6 to 9 years of relevant hands-on experience in application/software developmentProven experience to work effectively in remote mode independently and open to work in collaboration with distributed team whenever required. Certifications (Preferred, Not Mandatory) Certification in Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET, or related application development technologies is a plus and demonstrates a commitment to continuous professional development.Professional certifications in database management, API development, or modern backend technologies are preferred but not mandatory.
