Software Development Engineer in Test

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing using industry-standard tools and programming languages
- Write high-quality, maintainable automation test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test scenarios across multiple application layers
- Build and integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar tools to enable continuous testing and fast feedback loops
- Develop comprehensive API test automation using tools such as RestAssured, Postman, Karate Framework, or similar platforms
- Collaborate with software engineers during the design and development phases to embed testability, quality gates, and shift-left testing practices into the development lifecycle
- Perform code reviews for test automation code and enforce automation best practices, design patterns, and maintainability standards across the QA team
- Design and execute performance and load testing strategies using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or Locust to identify and resolve system bottlenecks
- Develop and maintain test data management strategies and mock services for reliable and repeatable automated test execution
- Analyze test results, investigate failures, and provide detailed defect reports and root cause analysis to development and product teams
- Drive continuous improvement of test automation coverage, execution speed, and infrastructure reliability across all testing environments
