Backend Engineering Internship
We are looking for a **Backend Engineering Intern** who is passionate about building scalable web applications and solving real-world engineering challenges.
This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with experienced developers and product managers to build and enhance core modules of Songdews technology platform.
Successful interns may be offered a **full-time Software Engineer position** upon completion of the internship.
What You Will Work On
* Develop and maintain backend services using **Python and Django**
* Design and build **RESTful APIs** for web and mobile applications
* Work with **MySQL and MongoDB** databases for application development and optimization
* Implement caching mechanisms and performance enhancements
* Participate in designing scalable and secure system architecture
* Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues
* Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code
* Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams to deliver features
* Participate in code reviews and engineering discussions
Skills We Are Looking ForMust Have
* Strong knowledge of **Python**
* Good understanding of **Django Framework**
* Understanding of **Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)**
* Familiarity with **REST APIs**
* Working knowledge of **MySQL**
* Understanding of **MongoDB**
* Familiarity with **Git**
* Good problem-solving and analytical skills
* At least **one live project/website deployed** (academic, freelance, personal, or internship project)
Good To Have
* Exposure to **Redis** , Memcached, or caching frameworks
* Knowledge of **Docker**
* Understanding of **CI/CD pipelines**
* Exposure to background jobs, queues, and distributed systems
* Experience with Linux environments
Eligibility
* B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines
* Final-year students, recent graduates, or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience
* Available for a **minimum 6-month internship**
