Job responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions
Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver business value
Apply engineering best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient delivery
Develop and orchestrate containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
Build and support micro-services architectures
Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards; contributes learnings and reusable patterns to improve broader team effectiveness.
Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation.
Write scripts in Bash and Python to automate tasks
Participate in Agile methodologies including Scrum and Test Driven Development
Continuously improve processes and contribute to team learning
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Expertise in Java or Python with 5 years of experience ad hands-on AWS Cloud experience
Experience deploying to and orchestrating containers (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, Docker registry
Experience with micro-services.
Strong in core Java, J2EE, Spring and Scripting skills in Bash and Python
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage within team practices.
Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Test Driven Development)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and/or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
Experience with UNIX/LINUX
