WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
At SimCorp, we support some of the largest financial institutions in the world to be successful by simplifying their investments, accounting and operations.
Investment Accounting is a product area within SimCorps Product Division which delivers all rules and calculation methods in order to provide our clients with a legally binding subledger for all supported asset classes.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Contribute across the entire development lifecycle - from requirements analysis and design to implementation, test automation, documentation, and ongoing support.
- Identify relevant test conditions for product under test based on available documentation
- Create, document and maintain test cases and automated tests to cover the features acceptance criteria (system, integration, unit etc.)
- Collaborate closely with your team, Product Managers, Architects, and peers across the area to deliver high-quality, secure and valuable solutions.
- Identify, document, and track defects using the defect management tool.
- Be proactive in improving automation, tools, etc.
- Being the end-users' eager advocate and contributing to valuable and useful high-quality delivery.
- Engage actively in team meetings, cross-team feature refinements, and planning sessions.
- Drive innovations, uphold technical excellence and quality, advocate best practices, and continuously improve our ways of working.
- Constantly learn and improve yourself, the team, and wider area.
- Think beyond the code, understand our strategy, goals and customer needs to help enhance our products and maximize their impact.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Most importantly, you can see yourself contributing and thriving in the position described above. How you gained the skills needed for doing that is less important. We expect you to be good at several of the following and be able to - and interested in - learning the rest.
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Experience in testing role working on complex systems within a financial domain
- Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, software development lifecycle.
- Experience in both manual and automated testing, with the ability to design and implement comprehensive test strategies and all level tests for software applications.
- Familiarity with modern engineering tools and practices, including CI/CD and trunk-based development. Curiosity and readiness to learn in-house tools, including the APL programming language.
- Readiness to work in a complex accounting domain, dealing with financial and investment-related instruments.
- Good English skills (upper-intermediate or higher), both written and spoken.
WHAT WE VALUE
- Familiarity in at least one functional or object-oriented programming language.
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
- Exploratory abilities.
- A relevant software testing certifications e.g. ISTQB is a plus.
- Experience in utilizing AI capabilities in testing.
- Professional, committed, and result-oriented.
- Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure
