About the Opportunity
We are expanding our Data Centre Engineering capability and are looking for a technically strong Electrical Engineer with hands-on data centre design experience.
This role is ideal for professionals currently working with leading building services consultancies and mission-critical design firms who want greater ownership, faster career progression, and the opportunity to help build a high-performing Data Centre team from Mumbai.
You will play a key role in delivering international data centre projects and shaping internal technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
1) Electrical Design Mission Critical Facilities
Lead electrical design packages for Data Centre projects (Enterprise / Colocation / Hyperscale).Develop and review:MV/LV distribution architectureGenerator systems and fuel systems coordinationUPS systems (centralized & distributed)STS/ATS schemesBusduct systemsEarthing & lightning protectionDevelop detailed Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).Perform load assessments, diversity studies, and redundancy evaluation.Coordinate short circuit, protection coordination, and arc flash studies (ETAP / SKM preferred).
2) Reliability & Tier Strategy
Understand and apply redundancy concepts:N, N+1, 2N, 2N+1Contribute to Tier alignment strategy (Uptime-based thinking).Participate in design risk reviews and resilience discussions.Ensure compliance with IEC / NEC / local authority requirements.
3) Project & Client Interface
Coordinate with Mechanical, BIM, and other services teams.Attend technical meetings with international clients.Review vendor submissions and technical compliance.Support design documentation to international consultancy standards.
4) Team Contribution
Mentor junior engineers.Support development of internal Data Centre electrical design guidelines.Contribute to building a structured and scalable Data Centre design team.
Candidate Profile
B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.712 years of total experience.Minimum 35 years in Data Centre / Mission Critical projects.Experience working with structured international design processes.Strong understanding of critical power systems and reliability philosophy.Experience with Data Centre standards like ANSI/TIA-942, Uptime InstituteHands-on experience with:ETAP / SKM / similar power analysis toolsRevit / BIM coordination workflowsStrong communication skills and ability to work with overseas stakeholders.
Compensation:
The selected candidate will receive competitive compensation and remuneration policies in line with qualifications and experience. Compensation will not be a constraint for the right candidate.
