Role Description This full-time, on-site Staff Accountant (US operation) role is based in Ahmedabad.
The Staff
Accountant will prepare, review, and analyze financial statements for US clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies. The role includes posting and reconciling journal entries, assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, and supporting financial reporting and documentation. The individual will perform variance analysis, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and collaborate with internal teams and client contacts to resolve accounting queries. Additional responsibilities may include supporting audits, maintaining organized financial records, and contributing to process improvements within the accounting function.
Qualifications
Ability to prepare and review Financial Statements and support Finance-related processes.Strong Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support decision-making.Proficiency in Journal Entries (Accounting), including posting, reconciliation, and adjustments.Experience with Financial Reporting, including preparation of reports for management and external stakeholders.Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA) are an advantage.Knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with US accounting and tax practices is preferred.Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel, including spreadsheets and financial models.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate within multicultural teams. .
