About the Company
We are building an enterprise platform focused onModel Context Protocol (MCP), AI agent orchestration, governance, and agent harnessing.
The founders recently completed a$600M exit to a Tier 1 global IT companyand are now building their next company around what we believe will become a critical infrastructure layer for enterprise AI.
This is an early stage company, but it isnot starting from scratch. We have already acquired a working software platform with approximately4 to 6 months of development behind it. The initial responsibility of this role will be to deeply review the existing platform, assess its architecture and code quality, and determine the fastest path to a production grade product.
Our strong preference is tobuild on and improve the existing platform, refactoring or cleaning up components where necessary, rather than starting over. However, the Engineering Lead will have the authority to recommend a different approach if the existing architecture cannot support the product vision.
The RoleWe are looking for an exceptionalEngineering Lead / Founding Engineerwho can take technical ownership of the platform and help build the initial engineering organization.
You will work directly with the founders and will have significant influence over architecture, product direction, engineering standards, hiring, and the long term technical roadmap.
This is a hands on role. We are looking for someone who can architect complex systems, write high quality production code, review the work of others, and ultimately build and lead a world class engineering team.
Location:India preferred. However, we are focused on finding the strongest possible candidate and will consider exceptional applicants regardless of location.
What You Will DoConduct a comprehensive technical review of the existing MCP and agent harnessing platform.Evaluate the current architecture, codebase, security model, scalability, and technical debt.Determine what should be retained, refactored, rewritten, or removed.Create the technical roadmap from the existing platform to a production ready enterprise product.Design and build infrastructure for MCP servers, tools, agents, models, and enterprise systems.Build capabilities for agent orchestration, permissions, identity, policy enforcement, observability, and governance.Develop secure interfaces for connecting enterprise data and systems to AI agents.Design highly scalable distributed systems capable of managing large numbers of agents and MCP connections.Establish engineering standards around architecture, testing, deployment, security, and reliability.Remain highly hands on in the codebase during the early stages of the company.Recruit, build, mentor, and lead an initial engineering team of approximately7 to 10 exceptional engineers, with a strong focus on talent in India.Help identify and attract high caliber engineers as the company scales.Work directly with the founders on product strategy, architecture, technical priorities, and hiring.Help establish a culture of speed, technical rigor, ownership, accountability, and exceptional engineering quality.

What We Are Looking ForExceptional software engineering and computer science fundamentals.Significant experience building sophisticated distributed systems, infrastructure platforms, developer platforms, or enterprise software.Strong experience with modern AI systems, LLM infrastructure, agents, tool calling, orchestration, or related technologies.Familiarity withModel Context Protocol (MCP)or a demonstrated ability to rapidly become an expert in emerging technical standards.Strong understanding of APIs, authentication, authorization, identity, security, networking, and distributed architecture.Experience reviewing and improving an existing codebase rather than assuming everything should be rewritten.Ability to balance architectural quality with speed to market.Strong product instincts and the ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into technical systems.Experience leading engineers while remaining deeply technical and hands on.Founder mentality with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
