The role will focus on building robust frontend systems, enabling engineering excellence, and supporting business growth through reliable and scalable web solutions.
Education
- Bachelors / Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Experience
- 812 years of experience in frontend/web development
- Strong experience in building large-scale, consumer-facing web applications
Desirable Experience
- Experience in OTT / media / streaming platforms
- Exposure to Smart TV / multi-device ecosystems
- Experience with performance optimization, SEO, and analytics integration
- Familiarity with backend-for-frontend (BFF) or full-stack capabilities

Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the frontend architecture for SonyLIVs web platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Build and optimize high-performance, responsive web applications for large user bases
- Lead design and implementation of reusable components, frameworks, and libraries
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to translate requirements into high-quality user experiences
- Drive performance optimization (load time, rendering, SEO, Core Web Vitals)
- Ensure code quality, testing standards, and best practices across the team
- Mentor engineers and contribute to capability building within the frontend team
- Work closely with backend teams to define APIs and integration patterns
- Evaluate and adopt recent technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance platform capabilities
