Develop and implement effective collection strategies and procedures for the state.
Monitor and analyze collection performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal collection laws and regulations.
Manage and lead a team of collection specialists, providing training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
Negotiate payment arrangements with debtors.
Handle escalated customer issues and complaints.
Collaborate with other departments, such as legal and finance, to resolve collection-related issues.
Prepare and present reports on collection activities and results.
Manage and maintain relationships with external collection agencies and vendors.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in collections. .
