Role Description The State Manager (Sales & Collection) will oversee and drive sales and collection operations within the assigned state, ensuring achievement of business targets and adherence to company policies. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bhubaneswar, involving regular coordination with branch teams, dealers, and partners. Daily responsibilities include planning and monitoring sales strategies, reviewing portfolio performance, supervising collection activities, and ensuring timely recovery of dues while maintaining strong customer relationships.
The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders for credit approvals, documentation, and compliance, as well as preparation of periodic performance reports and market insights.
The State
Manager will also be responsible for coaching and managing the field team, optimizing processes, and supporting sustainable portfolio growth with controlled risk.
Qualifications
Proven experience in sales and collection management within NBFCs, banks, or asset finance companies, preferably in the auto finance segment.
Strong skills in team leadership, field force supervision, and performance monitoring, with the ability to drive targets and motivate staff.
Solid understanding of credit, risk assessment, and collection processes, including legal and regulatory aspects related to recovery.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with dealers, distributors, and key partners, and to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Competence in data analysis, reporting, and use of MS Office or similar tools to track performance and support decision-making.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities, with a customer-centric and ethical approach.
Minimum graduate degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
Prior state-level or multi-location responsibility and willingness to travel extensively within the state as required. .
