Supply Chain AI Specialist
As an SAP Logistics Functional Analyst, you will be the core architect of our physical supply chain system, translating complex distribution and transportation strategies into highly efficient, scalable SAP solutions. While this role spans the end-to-end logistics lifecycleincluding Warehouse Management and Inventory Optimizationyour primary, day-to-day focus will be driving excellence in Shipping and Freight Execution.
You will work closely with carriers, warehouse managers, and global trade teams to streamline freight procurement, optimize routes, automate dispatching, and ensure seamless delivery execution. Familiarity with leveraging AI/ML tools to drive predictive logistics is a highly valued asset in this role.

Key Responsibilities
Freight Execution Blueprinting: Lead the functional design, configuration, and testing of SAP logistics processes, focusing heavily on outbound delivery routing, freight consolidation, and carrier selection.Warehouse & Shipping Synchronization: Bridge the gap between order management and physical loading. Ensure picking, packing, and staging operations directly feed efficient freight execution pathways.Inventory & Slotting Optimization: Define logic and rules within SAP to maximize warehouse space utilization, reduce travel times, and optimize safety stock thresholds to support rapid-fulfillment shipping schedules.Carriers & Rate Management: Configure and maintain freight rate tables, transport zones, and carrier service level agreements (SLAs) within SAP.End-to-End Tracking & Exception Handling: Design system-driven exception management protocols (e.g., automated alerts for transit delays, dynamic carrier re-routing) to minimize supply chain disruptions.

Technical Skills & Certifications
Core SAP Expertise
Shipping & Freight (Primary Focus): Deep configuration experience in SAP LE-TRA (Logistics Execution - Transportation), including Shipment Documents, Shipment Stages, and Freight Cost Calculation/Settlement.Transportation Management: Strong functional knowledge of TM (Transportation Management)specifically freight unit building, optimizer-based planning, and charge managementis a major advantage.Warehouse & Inventory (Secondary Focus): Solid hands-on configuration in SAP WM (Warehouse Management) or S/4HANA EWM (Extended Warehouse Management), and MM-IM (Inventory Management).System Integration: Mastery of IDocs, EDI transactions (e.g., 204, 214, 210, 990 for carrier communication), and BAPI interfaces.
AI & Advanced Analytics (Added Advantage)
Predictive Logistics: Conceptual understanding of machine learning algorithms used for predictive ETAs, dynamic slotting, and inventory forecasting.Data & AI Tools: Familiarity with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), SAP AI Core, or external data analytics/BI tools (such as Python, SQL, or PowerBI) to interface with data science teams is highly desirable.
Professional Certifications
The ideal candidate will hold one or more of the following:
SAP Certified Application Associate: Transportation Management (TM) or Enterprise Warehouse Management (EWM).Supply Chain Certifications: APICS (CSCP / CLTD) or equivalent professional logistics credentials.AI/ML Certifications (Optional Plus): Basic certifications in cloud-based AI (e.g., Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals, AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty, or Google Professional ML Engineer) are highly preferred
