: Junior Payment Support Engineer (Java/C++)
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Junior Payment Support Engineer with knowledge of Java and C++ to support critical payment applications and transaction processing systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring payment services, troubleshooting application issues, supporting production environments, and assisting in the maintenance of payment solutions used across banking and financial services platforms.
The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of payment systems, solid analytical skills, and the ability to work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure smooth payment operations.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor payment applications and transaction processing systems.
Provide first-line and second-line support for payment-related incidents and service requests.
Investigate transaction failures, payment rejects, processing delays, and application errors.
Analyze application logs and perform root cause analysis.
Support Java and C++ based payment applications in production and test environments.
Execute SQL queries for troubleshooting and data validation.
Escalate critical incidents to development and infrastructure teams when necessary.
Assist in deployment activities and post-release validation.
Support payment testing activities during upgrades and system enhancements.
Maintain operational procedures, support documentation, and incident records.
Ensure compliance with operational SLAs and banking security standards.
Participate in after-hours support and on-call activities when required. .
