They are seeking a Survey Data Operations Analyst to build and automate data workflows, transforming complex survey data into reliable datasets that drive research insights.ResponsibilitiesBuild and support data pipelines that ingest raw sample files, vendor files, API data and operational data and transform them into clean outputs for analysis and reportingOrganize respondent, project, survey, client and operational data into consistent and reusable datasetsDevelop and maintain databases containing panelist, respondent and operational dataValidate data quality by checking completeness, accuracy, formatting and consistency and troubleshooting missing data, duplicates, file issues and schema changesEnsure secure handling of sensitive and personally identifiable informationAutomate manual and repetitive tasks by creating reusable scripts, templates, validation checks and scheduled jobsSupport workflows that move survey data into structured folders and reporting environmentsCollaborate with analysts, methodologists, survey programmers, project managers, QA partners and other internal teams to translate business and research requirements into practical data solutionsLearn and apply survey data operations concepts including how sample, fielding and response data move through Gallups research processesSkillsBachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, data analytics, mathematics, statistics, business, social science, market research or a related field requiredExperience with Python, SQL and Excel requiredA commitment to working on-site at Gallup's Omaha office at least three days per week requiredMust currently reside within a 250-mile radius of Omaha, NebraskaEligibility to work in the United States required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorshipExperience with R, APIs, Linux or command-line environments preferredExperience building automated or repeatable data processes preferredExperience working with structured data files or databases preferredExposure to survey or research data environments and interest in learning about survey research and data operations preferredBenefitsMedical, dental, vision, life and other insurance optionsA fully vested 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matchingAn employee stock ownership programFamily-building benefitsAn employee assistance programVarious reimbursements and activities that enhance our associates wellbeingCompany OverviewGallup.com provides data-driven news based on the U.S. and world polls, daily tracking, and public opinion research.
