01Responsibilities
Lead and perform detailed review of U.S. Federal partnership tax returns (Form 1065), including Schedule K-1 allocations and related workpapersOversee preparation and review of partnership income allocations, adjustments, and multistate filingsProvide oversight and guidance on corporate tax returns (Form 1120) and state filings as neededManage client engagements, including planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring timelines and priorities are metParticipate in and lead client meetings and presentations, offering proactive insights and resolving tax mattersCollaborate with senior leadership to identify and implement tax planning and consulting opportunitiesSupervise, mentor, and develop junior staff and senior associates, conducting performance reviews and fostering professional growth, exhibiting leadership skillsEnsure effective resource allocation in collaboration with the resource management team to optimize staffingStay updated on changes in partnership tax laws, regulations, and IRS guidance, and provide technical direction to the teamDrive process improvements, technology adoption, and knowledge sharing within the tax practice
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field requiredMinimum 8 years of experience in U.S. taxation, with strong expertise in partnership tax complianceProficiency in using tax software such as OneSource Income Tax, CCH, and GoSystemDemonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple complex engagements, and meet tight deadlinesStrong communication, interpersonal, and client relationship management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree, CPA, or Enrolled Agent certificationPrior experience with Big 4 or large U.S.-based/national accounting firms and/or in-house partnership tax experienceStrong analytical, problem-solving, and research skillsProven ability to manage complex partnership structures and client portfoliosTechnology skills including MS Office, Alteryx, and other tax automation tools
