01Overview
Key Responsibilities
Lead structural engineering projects independently from design through detail engineering.Act as the primary technical interface with customers and participate in project coordination meetings.Plan, monitor, and execute engineering activities within agreed schedules and project milestones.Execute/ Review structural designs, detailed drawings, engineering calculations, and technical specifications.Guide structural designers and detailers to ensure compliance with project requirements, constructability, and fabrication standards.Coordinate technical queries from clients, approval authorities, vendors, and other engineering disciplines.Ensure compliance with applicable international codes, client specifications, and quality standards.Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to the structural engineering team.

Design, analyse, and review industrial steel structures, including:
Equipment support structuresExhaust stack support structuresSkid and module base framesPipe racksPipe and duct supportsAccess platforms and walkwaysCrane pedestals and hoist structuresStair towersSteel connection design and member sizingStructural Analysis & Engineering Expertise
Experience in performing:
Steel structural analysis and designLifting lug and pad-eye designSpreader frame and spreader bar designIn-place lifting analysisTransportation and transit load analysisVessel impact and collision analysisSeismic analysisBolted and welded steel connection designNode, joint, and local finite element (FEM) analysisVessel, bin, hopper, and barge deck strength checksBuckling analysis of shell and plated structuresWeight estimation and centre of gravity calculationsMaterial Take-Off (MTO)Codes & Standards
Working knowledge of international structural design standards such as:
American Codes (AISC, ASCE, AWS)Canadian StandardsEurocodesBritish Standards (BS)Norsk Standards (DNV/NORSOK)Software Skills
Proficiency in:
STAAD.ProRISA-3DRAM ConnectionAutoCADPreferred:
ANSYS (Finite Element Analysis)

Educational Qualification
B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university.
Experience
1215 years of experience in Industrial Steel Structural Design Engineering.Experience in one or more of the following industries:Oil & GasPower PlantsMiningPetrochemicalsRefineriesChemical Plants
