Technical Sales Engineer - Foundry and Steel

About the role At Suyash, we develop and manufacture measurement and process-control products used in the foundries and steel plants We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer who can build and develop business with steel plants and foundries across India. This is a customer-facing role with significant travel and requires someone who is comfortable developing new customers, building relationships at plant level and taking opportunities through to orders. You should be able to walk into a foundry or steel plant, understand who the relevant people are, what problems they are facing, start a conversation, identify an opportunity, arrange a trial and keep following up until the business is won. Please note that this role is requires extensive travel to various customer sites across India. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop new customers at foundries and steel plantsVisit steel plants and foundries regularly, build relationships with the people who actually use and handle our products.Understand the customer's process and problems and identify where our products can helpCoordinate product trials and demonstrations, follow up with customers and convert successful trials into regular ordersBuild relationships with people in purchase, production, metallurgy, quality and plant managementKeep track of sales opportunities and follow up consistentlyGrow existing accounts and look for opportunities to introduce other Suyash productsTravel extensively across India as required Qualifications 38 years of experience in industrial sales, preferably selling to steel plants, foundries or related industriesStrong ability to to develop new customers rather than relying only on existing accountsGood technical understanding and the ability to have meaningful conversations with plant and technical personnelStrong follow-up and negotiation skillsThis is not a desk-based sales role.
