About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Writer Intern with a strong Computer Science background. The intern will work closely with engineering, product, and technical teams to create clear, accurate, and user-friendly technical documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresher to build practical experience in technical communication, software documentation, and developer-focused content.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain technical documentation for software products, features, APIs, and internal tools.
Write and edit user guides, how-to guides, FAQs, release notes, and technical reference content.
Work with developers and subject-matter experts to understand technical concepts and convert them into clear documentation.
Research and validate technical information to ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
Follow documentation standards, templates, style guides, and version-control practices.
Review existing documentation and identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Support documentation updates during product releases and feature launches.
Use diagrams, screenshots, examples, and structured content where appropriate to improve understanding.
Required Qualifications
Fresh graduate or final-year student with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Good understanding of basic software development concepts, SDLC, APIs, databases, and web technologies.
Ability to understand technical concepts and explain them in simple, structured language.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Good research, analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Basic knowledge of Git/GitHub or other version-control systems.
Exposure to Markdown, HTML, or documentation tools.
Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON, SQL, or cloud concepts.
Familiarity with tools such as Confluence, Jira, GitHub, or similar collaboration/documentation platforms.
Basic experience creating technical projects, README files, tutorials, or academic documentation.
