Test Lead - QA

We are looking for a senior, detail-oriented professional who can balance hands-on test leadership with process governance and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own the overall test strategy, test plans, and test approach for assigned projects
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, assigning test tasks and reviewing test coverage and quality
- Coordinate with development, product, and business teams to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria
- Oversee test case design, execution, and defect tracking across functional, regression, and integration testing cycles
- Drive test automation strategy and coordinate with automation engineers to expand automated test coverage
- Track and report testing progress, defect trends, and quality metrics to project stakeholders and leadership
- Manage test environment and test data requirements in coordination with infrastructure and DevOps teams
- Facilitate defect triage meetings and drive timely resolution of critical and high-priority defects
- Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and release readiness criteria before production deployment
- Conduct post-release quality reviews and drive continuous improvement in testing processes

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 10+ years of overall QA/testing experience with proven experience leading test teams
- Strong knowledge of test planning, test design techniques, and defect management processes
- Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar
- Working knowledge of test automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, or similar) and API testing tools (Postman/REST Assured)
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum testing practices and CI/CD-integrated testing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi
- ISTQB certification is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
