Traffic Executive (Heavy Vehicle & Trailer Operations)

We are looking for an experienced Traffic Executive with strong knowledge of the transportation market, local vehicle placement, broker management, and road transport operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in coordinating vehicle availability, negotiating market rates, and ensuring smooth transportation operations. Key Responsibilities Arrange and place local market vehicles (trailers,cranes, tippers, trucks, hydraulic axles, etc.) based on customer requirements. Negotiate competitive freight rates with brokers and transport vendors. Maintain a strong network of transport brokers, fleet owners, and vehicle suppliers. Source vehicles from the local market to meet urgent operational requirements. Coordinate with customers, operations teams, drivers, brokers, and vendors for timely vehicle placement. Monitor vehicle movement and ensure on-time loading, dispatch, transit, and delivery. Handle transportation planning for ODC (Over Dimensional Cargo) and FTL (Full Truck Load) shipments. Ensure timely completion of loading and unloading activities by coordinating with site teams. Verify transportation documents, including permits, e-way bills, invoices, PODs, gate passes, and other statutory documents. Maintain daily records of vehicle placement, freight rates, broker payments, and operational updates. Resolve transportation issues, delays, and vehicle shortages to ensure uninterrupted operations. Keep track of market freight trends and provide updates on transportation rates. Requirements Graduate in any discipline (Logistics qualification is an added advantage) 38 years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Traffic Operations, or Fleet Coordination Strong knowledge of market freight rates, local vehicle sourcing, and broker management Hands-on experience in ODC & FTL transportation operations Good understanding of trailers, heavy commercial vehicles, route planning, and transportation documentation Excellent negotiation, coordination, and communication skills Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/Transport Management Systems Preferred Industry Experience Transportation & Logistics ODC & Heavy Haul Operations FTL Transportation Trailer & Heavy Vehicle Operations Crane & Equipment Transportation Benefits 3 to 4 LPA can be provided, depending on the candidate's current experience and salary.
