Deltoncontrol and Switchgears LLP is seeking a driven and technically inclined Trainee Sales Engineer to join our team in Mumbai.
This is a structured 8 to 12-month inside-sales and technical training program designed to give you end-to-end exposure to the electrical switchgear industry. During this period, you will receive hands-on training in product engineering, client communication, sales operations, and deal execution. Upon successful completion of the training phase, you will transition into a full-fledged Field Sales Engineer role handling client accounts across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Operations & Coordination: Assist the sales team with quote preparation, order processing, and post-order tracking to ensure smooth delivery schedules.
Technical Product Learning: Develop a robust working knowledge of low-voltage/high-voltage electrical switchgear products, control panels, and their industrial applications.
Client & Pipeline Management: Maintain up-to-date customer records, maintain the CRM database, and follow up with existing clients regarding inquiries and proposals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate internally between Sales, Technical/Service, and Accounts teams to streamline customer delivery and billing processes.
Market Exposure: Gradually accompany senior sales engineers on client visits to learn negotiation tactics, client management, and field sales strategies.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical discipline.
Experience: Freshers (0 years) to 2 years of experience in sales support, inside sales, or technical support.
Tech Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (especially MS Excel for quotation/data work) and professional email etiquette.
Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in En .
