01Key Responsibilities
Own process engineering delivery across the project lifecycle - from scope definition and development of engineering solutions to document review, construction support, as-built drawing updates and lessons-learned capture.Analyse and troubleshoot process engineering issues to safeguard plant safety, equipment integrity and operational reliability.Act as facility integrator for Inside Battery Limit (ISBL) and Outside Battery Limit (OSBL) integration, including integration across major projects.Lead process hazard analysis sessions (HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, PSSR, SROR and related studies) on process engineering aspects, and take ownership of developing solutions and closing out resulting actions.Perform core process engineering calculations including line, PSV, control valve and orifice sizing leading to the preparation of equipment datasheets.Identify, develop and mature value engineering initiatives that improve process performance, reduce cost and minimise safety risk.Identify, evaluate and adopt current and emerging technologies, tools and methodologies for process engineering assessment to enhance accuracy, efficiency and decision confidence.Champion the adoption of digital tools, simulation platforms and advanced analytics to strengthen technical validation and reduce uncertainty in decision-making.Review and, where necessary, challenge process engineering deliverables prepared by engineering contractors to ensure alignment with international technical standards and compliance requirements.Translate regulatory, safety and environmental requirements into process engineering deliverables and review checkpoints, and validate compliance across all project stages.Prepare process engineering deliverables to support regulatory submissions, technical documentation, compliance reporting and external reporting.Provide process engineering support and technical input to other disciplines within the Project Engineering team.Support the Process Technical Authority in providing technical assurance on process engineering matters.Coach and mentor junior process engineers and graduate engineers to build technical capability within the team.
