Job Description:
Assessing banking requirements and designing banking architecture, selection of banks, setting up operations.
Assess working capital and Trade Limits for each business vertical and liaison with banks for setting up limits.
Engage with various stakeholders internal teams and banks and to ensure smooth execution of trade operations (Issuance of letter of credits, Issuance and renewal of bank guarantees, LC payments)
Explore/Facilitate liquidity solutions in the form of forfaiting, factoring or discounting solutions, as may be required, with underlying trade instrument.
Oversee timely execution of A1 and A2 remittances.
Identify and implement process improvements in trade finance operations.
Partner with Product, Risk, Compliance and Legal teams to understand and interpret regulatory changes impacting trade and banking operations.
Design and implement system-based workflows including platform-based solutions, for Trade and Banking operations.
Compliance Management Ensure regulatory compliance under RBI and FEMA regulations.
Manage 2 resources who will be running day-to-day operations and meeting TATs.
Skills:
Solid knowledge and understanding of various trade finance instruments and regulations governing Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, Stand-by Letters of Credit, Bills of Exchange, etc.
Familiarity with Trade platforms of banks and interfacing technologies with ERP.
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex trade finance challenges.
Proficiency in MS Office and understanding of SAP Treasury Module
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with banks and internal teams.
Experience:
Educational Background: Chartered or Cost Accountant and/or post-graduate degree in finance, business administration.
Additional certifications in trade (say Certified Documentary Credit Specialist) is preferable.
Previous experience of 10 years in trade finance, banking, or a related field.
Manufacturing / Renewable sector experience preferred.
