About the Role
We are hiring a US Equity Research Analyst to support fundamental research
and portfolio decision-making across US-listed equities (NYSE / NASDAQ).
The analyst will own daily market screening, build and maintain financial
models, and produce written research on companies and sectors under coverage.
This is a hands-on research role for someone who enjoys digging into
earnings, guidance, and estimate revisions - not a data-entry or reporting job.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Market Screening & Monitoring
- Track US market open/close, index moves, sector rotation and macro drivers
(Fed policy, rates, inflation prints, jobs data)
- Process daily analyst upgrade/downgrade and rating-change data from sources
such as Seeking Alpha, Zacks, and sell-side notes into structured screens
- Flag estimate revisions, guidance changes, and unusual price/volume action
in the coverage universe
Financial Modelling & Valuation
- Build and maintain 3-statement models, revenue build-ups, and quarterly
earnings models in Excel
- Run DCF, comparable company, and precedent transaction analyses
- Model forward EPS and revenue trajectories; identify inflection points and
margin expansion drivers
- Update models post-earnings and reconcile actuals vs consensus
Company & Sector Research
- Read and interpret 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K filings, earnings call transcripts,
and investor presentations
- Cover assigned sectors with depth - semiconductors, AI infrastructure,
software, and other high-growth US sectors
- Write investment theses, initiation notes, earnings previews/reviews,
and thematic sector reports
- Track competitive positioning, TAM, order backlog, book-to-bill, and
other operating metrics relevant to the sector
Portfolio & Reporting Support
- Maintain master tracking workbooks for coverage universe and portfolio
holdings with defined formatting standards
- Support periodic portfolio reviews - position sizing, conviction tiering,
and trim/exit candidate identification
- Prepare dashboards and summary decks for internal investment discussions
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in equity research, investment research, or
financial analysis - US market exposure strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel: complex formulas, pivot tables, data structuring,
large-workbook management. VBA/Power Query is a plus
- Robust grounding in accounting, valuation, and financial statement analysis
- Ability to read SEC filings and earnings transcripts and extract what matters
- Transparent, concise written English - research notes must be readable and
decision-useful
- Comfortable with financial data platforms
- Bachelor's or Master's in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or Accounting.
MBA (Finance), CFA (any level), CA, or FRM preferred
Good to Have
- Prior coverage of semiconductors, AI/data infrastructure, or US tech
- Experience with Python or SQL for data pulls and screening automation
- Exposure to buy-side or KPO research environments
(Evalueserve, Acuity, S&P; Global, Moody's, Aranca and similar)
Shift & Work Mode
- US market hours - approximately 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST
(adjusts with US daylight saving)
- In-office role based in Visakhapatnam/Hyderabad
- Monday to Friday, aligned to US trading calendar
