Roles and Responsibilities :
- Review and analyze loan applications to determine creditworthiness of borrowers.
- Conduct thorough research on applicants' financial history, income, assets, and debts to inform lending decisions.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and ensure smooth post-closing processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, guidelines, and changes in US residential mortgage underwriting policies.
Job Requirements :
- 3-10 years of experience in Mortgage Underwriting (VA) or related field.
- Solid understanding of US residential mortgage underwriting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in Post Closing procedures including VA funding fees calculation. .
