01Responsibilities
- Communicate complex threats, risks and operational challenges clearly and confidently to key stakeholders across regions.
- Support internal and external audit activities through accurate documentation, evidence preparation and control assurance activity.
- Encourage and embed automation and AIenabled enhancements to improve the efficiency and maturity of SOC operations.
Knowledge & Skills
- Demonstrable experience managing a SOC team in a regulated or securitycritical environment.
- Strong knowledge of security operations, incident detection, analysis procedures and operational security tooling.
- Experience collaborating with geographically distributed teams, ideally supporting a UK security function from a satellite SOC.
- Proven ability to support audits and regulatory expectations within a controlled environment.
- Ability to articulate technical risks and threat scenarios clearly to nontechnical and senior stakeholders.
- Experience driving operational improvements through automation, AI or other optimisation initiatives.
Experience
- Minimum 10-12 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 4 years focused on managing and administering Security Operations Centres
- Strong problemsolving and analytical thinking.
- Ability to organise and prioritise in a hightempo, 24/7 operational environment.
- Proactive approach to continuous improvement and risk reduction.
Relevant Qualifications
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. A masters degree is a plus.
- Qualified certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar are preferred.
