Vice President - Commercial Claims - Insurance

About the role In the role, the concerned person is expected to manage a well-defined team of experienced claims personnel for client servicing in commercial claim portfolio. Responsibilities Manage and provide claim-handling direction to team members with respect to investigation, reserving, expense/ vendor management, and loss payment in accordance with Claims Best Practices.Cross vertical experiences across different lines of business (Fire/Marine/Engineering etc.)Have a thorough understanding of the different financial and technical aspects of the claimConduct periodic review meetings with the team to track critical TATs and discuss monthly targets of claim settlementEnsure that all surveyor queries are responded to and intimated to the clientLiaise with different stakeholders Client, insurance companies, surveyor, as and when required, to ensure an effective closure of claims within defined TATsMonitor and report important performance metrics like IRDA data, balance scorecard for claims management, claims settled within an agreed timeframe. Good relationship with stakeholders, insurance companies Preferred candidate profile Proven experience in claims handling, particularly in Marine, Property, and EnergyStrong background working in insurance companies or surveyor firms.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Familiarity with industry regulations and claims processes. .
