01Key Responsibilities
Production (Primary Responsibility)
Lead on-ground video production for documentaries, masterclasses, artist profiles, interviews, and branded content. Capture high-quality footage in workshops, homes, studios, villages, heritage sites, and other real-world locations, often under challenging shooting conditions. Film detailed craft-making processes with precision, ensuring important techniques and narratives are documented effectively. Record interviews using professional lighting and audio setups while creating a comfortable environment for subjects. Capture cinematic B-roll that enhances storytelling and showcases people, places, processes, and culture. Independently operate cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, audio recorders, tripods, gimbals, and other production gear. Make creative decisions on framing, composition, camera movement, lighting, and shot selection during production. Adapt quickly to changing environments, available light, weather conditions, and production challenges. Maintain and troubleshoot camera equipment, ensuring all gear is shoot-ready. Manage media cards, perform daily backups, and maintain organized footage throughout production.Collaborate with producers and content teams to execute shot lists while identifying additional storytelling opportunities on location. Travel extensively across India, including remote locations, for documentary and production assignments.Post-Production (Secondary Responsibility) when required
Edit documentaries, masterclasses, interviews, and promotional videos when required. Create short-form content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social media platforms. Organize, label, and prepare footage for post-production workflows. Perform basic color correction, audio balancing, subtitle integration, and export videos according to delivery specifications. Support the editing team during periods of high production volume.Requirements
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in videography, documentary production, or commercial filmmaking. Strong understanding of cinematography, visual storytelling, and documentary-style shooting .
