We are seeking an experienced Paralegal / Legal Administrator, who you will serve as an integral member of the legal team, independently managing day-to-day legal administrative responsibilities and providing comprehensive organizational and clerical support across a range of tasks.
Detailed Job Roles and Responsibilities
- Prospective-Client Intake: Conduct structured screening interviews, collect factual histories, and enter data into Clio.
- Case Summaries: Draft concise, neutral case summaries for attorney evaluation.
- Boundaries & Compliance: Protect client confidentiality and strictly avoid providing unauthorized legal advice.
- Administrative Support: Update standard operating procedures (SOPs), format templates, and organize electronic files.
- Firm Efficiency: Manage calendars, handle routine correspondence, and assist with overflow tasks.
Job Requirements
- Strong organizational skills, file management, and strict attention to detail.
- Transparent understanding of professional boundaries regarding legal advice.
- Experience creating SOPs, checklists, or internal training manuals.
- Qualification in legal studies or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with Clio and other software.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Must have laptop and proper Internet connectivity to perform duties from home.
