Job Summary
We are looking for experienced VMware / Nutanix Support Engineers to manage, support, and optimize enterprise virtualization and HCI environments. The role involves advanced troubleshooting, performance tuning, patching, and infrastructure optimization.
Key Responsibilities L2 VMware / Nutanix Support
- Provide L2 support for VMware vSphere and Nutanix AHV environments
- Monitor virtual infrastructure health and respond to alerts
- Perform VM provisioning, snapshots, cloning, and migrations
- Support patching, upgrades, and capacity management
- Troubleshoot VM, host, and storage-related issues
- Follow ITIL processes and maintain documentation
L3 VMware / Nutanix Support
- Act as L3 escalation point for complex virtualization issues
- Design, implement, and optimize VMware / Nutanix architectures
- Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and DR activities
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Drive automation and performance optimization initiatives
- Work closely with vendors and cross-functional teams
- Mentor L1/L2 engineers and define SOPs and best practices
Required Skills
- Solid experience with VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter)
- Hands-on experience with Nutanix (AHV, Prism)
- Knowledge of virtual networking and storage
- Experience with patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management
- Familiarity with ITIL processes
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
Good to Have
- VMware or Nutanix certifications
- Exposure to backup DR tools (Veeam, Commvault)
- Automation experience (PowerCLI, scripting)
- Cloud integration exposure (Azure / AWS)
Education
- Bachelor s degree in IT / Engineering or equivalent
