Role Overview
We are seeking a senior engineering leader to provide technical, operational, and people leadership across Components Engineering manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for engineering strategy, execution excellence, and capability building, working closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Business Leadership to deliver worldclass outcomes at scale. This is a handson leadership position for a leader who can operate at both strategic and shopfloor levelsdriving results through teams, systems, and disciplined execution.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership & Strategy
Own engineering outcomes across assigned Components Engineering manufacturing areas, aligned to business objectives for quality, cost, delivery, and scalability.Define and drive the engineering roadmap for process capability, yield improvement, and operational robustness.Act as a technical authority and escalation point for complex manufacturing and quality challenges.Operational Excellence & Execution
Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver stable mass production, rapid issue resolution, and continuous improvement.Drive structured problem solving for chronic losses, customer issues, and operational risks.Ensure strong governance of process changes, NPI readiness, validation, and documentation.People & Capability Building
Build, mentor, and develop highperforming engineering teams with a strong ownership mindset.Set clear goals, performance expectations, and succession plans for engineering talent.Foster a culture of accountability, safety, collaboration, and continuous learning.CrossFunctional & Stakeholder Management
Partner closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, NPI, and Business teams to ensure aligned execution.Support customer engagements, audits, and technical reviews, building confidence in Tata Electronics Components Engineering capabilities.Work with suppliers and partners on technical evaluations, qualifications, and improvement initiatives.Governance, Quality & Compliance
Ensure adherence to quality systems, safety standards, and statutory compliance.Drive audit readiness and closure of systemic gaps across Components Engineering operations.Review performance metrics and lead management reviews using datadriven decision making.Technical Expertise
Component EngineeringFixture DesignCNC and precision machining processesAutomation systems and manufacturing automation integrationAnodizing and chemical process expertiseTool room operations and mold design/manufacturing expertise
Education
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electronics, or related discipline).Advanced certifications or Six Sigma / Lean exposure is an advantage.
Experience
Significant leadership experience in Components Engineering, electronics manufacturing, OEM, ODM, or precision manufacturing environments.Proven track record of leading teams, scaling operations, and delivering measurable improvements in yield, quality, cost, or productivity.Experience working in highvolume, highmix manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
