Job Description:

• Review patient medical records and clinical documentation.
• Identify diagnoses, procedures, treatments, and services documented by healthcare providers.
• Assign appropriate medical codes using ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems as applicable.
• Ensure coding is accurate and follows established guidelines.
• Review documentation for completeness and identify missing or unclear information.
• Maintain accuracy and productivity according to company standards.
• Perform quality checks and correct coding errors.
• Stay updated with changes in coding guidelines and healthcare regulations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with data-privacy requirements.
• Work effectively with the coding and healthcare operations team.

Skills Required:

• Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Understanding of diseases, diagnoses, and medical procedures
• Good English communication and comprehension
• Analytical and attention-to-detail skills
• Basic computer/MS Office knowledge
• Willingness to learn medical coding standards
• Certification such as CPC/CCS is an advantage but may not be mandatory for freshers
