About the Role Our client, a rapidly expanding retail chain, is seeking a highly organized and efficient Warehouse and Inventory Manager to oversee their main distribution center in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, IN . This is a permanent, on-site role, demanding your active presence to ensure the smooth operation of warehouse logistics and accurate inventory management. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and dispatch, as well as maintaining optimal inventory levels to meet demand. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a meticulous attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control best practices. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining operational efficiency and supporting the company's growth objectives. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping. Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories. Implement and enforce warehouse safety procedures and protocols. Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve productivity and performance goals. Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency. Manage relationships with suppliers and transportation providers for inbound and outbound logistics. Implement and maintain Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for efficient tracking and control. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations and inventory accuracy. Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment to meet customer demands. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions within the warehouse and inventory functions. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management and inventory control. Proven experience managing a warehouse team. Strong knowledge of WMS and inventory management best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement improvements. Proficiency in relevant software, including WMS and MS Office Suite. Commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.
