Overview
As the Zonal Head Branch Banking at IDFC First Bank, your role revolves around liaising with the Banks Zonal officers to ensure alignment on Life Insurance Business. You will be required to visit zones, regions, districts, and branches to interact with Zonal and Regional officers as well as Bank branch managers. Your primary responsibility will be to guide and support your team to ensure the achievement of targets, maintain activation, persistency, and productivity levels. It is crucial for you to ensure the quality of recruits hired in your team and drive compliance at the zone.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Exceeding zonal targets such as NB, renewal, STP, digitization, and product mix
- Interacting with the Bank Zonal Officer and their team to ensure alignment towards Tata AIA in life insurance
- Focusing your team on Sales and providing support to all assigned branches
- Driving local contests and engagements to boost team morale
- Maintaining strong relationships with Zonal officers, Regional Officers, and Bank Branch managers
- Managing the relationship between the internal team and the channel partner to foster sales and responsiveness
- Assisting bank branches in adopting new processes and technology
In terms of team management, you will be responsible for assigning targets to each Regional Officer at a district level, ensuring high engagement levels within the team, providing team development and training, retaining high-performing talent, and keeping the National Head informed about on-ground activities by the Bank and competitors. Additionally, you will need to coordinate with the Head Office on various initiatives, updates, reviews, and partner requirements.

Qualifications required:
- Graduation
- Postgraduate degree or Insurance-specific training
Experience:
- A minimum of 12 to 15 years of sales experience with at least 5 years in leading teams
- Prior experience in rural Banca sales within the insurance sector would be advantageous.
