Job Description 

We are seeking a passionate business intelligence developer who will be playing a forefront role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights driving strategic decision-making and upliftment. 

The candidate should hold primary responsibility for designing, developing, and managing our BI infrastructure, ensuring support of data analytics needs efficiently and effectively. Utilizing advanced BI tools and power BI is a priority.  The role will involve developing and managing ETL ( Extract, transform, load ) processes and seamlessly integrating data from diverse sources from BI systems, ensuring data integrity. The candidate will be responsible for collaborating closely with business analysts, data scientists, and IT teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver solutions that align with the company's goals. Their ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders will be crucial in driving the adoption and utilization of BI tools across the organization.Overall with their keen analytical mind, driving high-quality solutions, the business intelligence developer will be playing an imperative role in contributing to positive upliftment. 

Responsibilities 

• The candidate should be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust solutions supporting organizations 

• Implementing data models, databases for retrieval 

• Ensuring data integrity and consistency 

• Developing and managing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources into the BI system

• Should be able to Optimize ETL workflows to enhance performance and efficiency.

• Monitoring and troubleshooting ETL jobs to ensure timely data availability.

• Should be responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing reports and dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView

• Collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights

• Ensuring reports and dashboards are user-friendly, visually appealing, and provide accurate and timely information.

• Analyzing and identifying patterns accordingly. 

• Working closely with team leads supporting business decision-making 

• Communicating complex data concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely.

Qualifications 

• The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.

• Prior experience as a BI Developer or in a similar role.

• Should hold robust proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or similar.

• Expertise in SQL and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).

• Experience with ETL tools and processes.

• A Master’s degree in a related field is significant.  

• Should be Experienced with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R.

• Certification in BI tools or data analysis.

• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and practices.

• Substantial analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

• The candidate should hold Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
